Join Little Red Mitten for the Wooly Games: Knit Competition Viewing Party!

Mark your calendars for November 13–15, 2026, because Flock2Gether is bringing something brand new to Little Red Mitten!

We’re excited to be hosting a Wooly Games: Knit Competition Viewing Party, where we’ll gather together to watch the live competition, knit alongside participants from across North America, and raise money for our own local food bank.

Created by Lesley of Rosehaven Yarn Shop in Picton, Ontario, the Wooly Games is a one-of-a-kind knitting competition inspired by the fun and camaraderie of watching knitting competitions together. Six knitters will compete over two days to complete a secret shawl pattern using three skeins of DK-weight yarn. The pattern won’t be revealed until the competition begins on Saturday, November 14, giving everyone—contestants and at-home participants alike—the same starting point.

We’ll have exclusive Wooly Games kits available, featuring three contrasting 100g skeins of DK-weight yarn, so you can cast on with the competitors as soon as the pattern is released. Whether your goal is to finish within the competition time or simply enjoy knitting with friends, everyone is welcome to join the fun.

Throughout the weekend, we’ll be tuning into the live broadcast, cheering on the contestants, enjoying the excitement together, and raising funds and collecting donations for our local food bank. It’s the perfect opportunity to celebrate our amazing fibre community while supporting families in need right here in our own community.
