Did You Know? - September Edition

We love learning new things – whether it’s fun facts or maker techniques!

Since we love to share, we thought we would start this section with highlighting the Little Red Mitten’s owner, Jolyn. Jolyn has worked at Little Red Mitten since it opened its doors in 2009 on 86 Talbot Street and 4 years ago in 2019, she took over ownership. You can sometimes see her in the store working her magic – whether it’s rearranging yarn making beautiful rainbow walls, joking around with our team or sharing her knitting knowledge with customers.

And did you know that Jolyn is also the sole dyer behind our beloved Leo & Roxy yarn? If she isn’t on the LRM floor, Jolyn is upstairs materializing her talent in dyeing yarn in beautiful colourways.  Leo & Roxy Yarn Co. offers a wide spectrum of colours in all yarn weights. While Leo & Roxy has it’s own website, you can also find some Leo & Roxy offerings in Little Red Mitten.  It’s one of our favourite yarns – and no we are not biased!
