Knit Bear Workshop with Mara
Join us in the toy department! Join us for 2 nights as Mara walks you through how to complete your very own Vera Bear. Attach eyes and a mouth and watch your bear come to life! This is an excellent foundation pattern to continue on with other seamed or seamless toys.

REQUIREMENTS
- Must be comfortable with knitting, purling, increasing and decreasing.
Materials
- Please bring the following to class: Yarn (DK or Worsted), needles appropriate for the yarn you choose, stuffing and a darning needle. (Safety Eyes included)
- Reminder: Students receive a 10% discount on most in-store purchases on their class day. We will happily guide you to a great project you will be comfortable with.
Notes about yarn from Ravelry listing
- The eventual size of your bear depends on the weight of the yarn you use.

Aran-weight/Worsted yarn: 150 grams, or approx. 200 yards

A Vera from this yarn weight will be about 17-18 inches tall.

- DK yarn: 100 grams or approx. 150 yards
- For future bears: You may also use heavier or lighter yarn for a bigger or smaller Vera. Heavier yarn requires more than 150 grams, lighter yarn requires less. Sock yarn the bear will be about 8 inches tall.
Duration & Format
- Two 2 hour in person classes (4 hours total)
Additional Information
- All classes require a minimum of 3 students so invite a friend to come with you!
- In the event that the minimum is not met, you will receive an email notification 5 days before the class to notify you that the class has been rescheduled/cancelled.
