This New England Shetland originates in Harrisville, New Hampshire, where the textile tradition dates back to 1794. The town was designated a National Historical Landmark as the oldest textile village in America to survive in its original form. The yarn is good for weaving, knitting, and crocheting. It fulls beautifully, softens, and is long wearing. Comparable to Jamieson and Smith Shetland jumper weight, it is wonderful for traditional stranded knitting.
