Why buy yarn when you can make it yourself?

In this 3-hour, 2 part class, you will take your first steps into the art of spinning fibre. In the first class Jane will teach you about drop spindles, fibre, drafting, and spinning. You will then go home and practice what you've learned and return 2 weeks later to learn how to ply your yarns.

Materials Needed

  • 50g Corriedale Fibre
  • Use of LRM Drop Spindle
  • Kits available here

 Duration & Format

  • 2 x 90 minute sessions (3 hours total)

 

Additional Information

  • All classes require a minimum of 3 students so invite a friend to come with you!
  • In the event that the minimum is not met, you will receive an email notification 3-5 days before the class to notify you that the class has been rescheduled/cancelled.
  • In accordance with provincial guidelines, masks will not be mandatory. It will be left up to the individual teachers and students to decide if they want to wear one.
