Create. Inspire. KAL.

A knit-a-long is a great way to share your love of knitting with others both near and far. Put together a group to meet up locally or join in a Ravelry-based KAL, either way you can share your love of knitting and be part of the wider knitting community.

Woolly Wormhead Mystery KAL

Staff and customers of Little Red Mitten joined in the Woolly Wormhead Mystery KAL this fall and knit up some nice hats in the process. Many used Malabrigo Arroyo or Ella Rae Lace Merino DK. If you’re thinking about making this hat, you’ll find the pattern listed as Armley on Ravelry (also available as a beret). Why not try it in some of the Madelinetosh Tosh DK that just arrived!?!

Armley Beret

Chris recently finished a pair of mittens with the TinCanKnits 2016 Holiday Hack-a-Long. She used Briggs & Little Tuffy for the mittens and then picked up stitches to knit a warm and soft lining with El Cielo! See the details of her hack on her Ravelry project. You can modify any one of TinCanKnits’ patterns for this KAL – see the details on their website.

Sock Monkey Delight

Another nice KAL that is going on right now is from Jamieson & Smith. Their Fire Festival KAL 2016-17 is based on using a selection of colours from their 2-Ply Jumper Weight and some fair isle knitting in the pattern of your choice. Read about it on their blog and join in the discussion on Ravelry.
