Intro to Lace with Pam

We will explore a variety of increases and decreases, learn to read knitting charts with ease, and tackle blocking to get the most beauty out of your lace piece.

Gothic Lace Cowl by Tin Can Knits is a simple lace pattern is repetitive, rhythmic and symmetrical, making it perfect for beginner lace knitters!

Pattern:

Please download Gothic Lace by Tin Can Knits prior to class, printed copies will be available during class. 

Requirements:

  • Must be comfortable casting on, knitting, purling, and binding off

 

Materials to bring:

  • 5mm needles
  • 200 - 400 yards (please see pattern for size choices) of Worsted weight yarn such as Cascade 220, or Malabrigo Washted
  • stitch markers, darning needles
  • optional: 8 buttons (for buttoned cowl, see pattern)
  • Reminder: Students receive a 10% discount on most in-store purchases on their class day. We will happily guide you to a great project you will be comfortable with.

 Duration & Format
  • 1 - 3 hour class
Additional Information
  • All classes require a minimum of 3 students so invite a friend to come with you!
  • In the event that the minimum is not met, you will receive an email notification 5 days before the class to notify you that the class has been rescheduled/cancelled.
