Intro to Lace with Pam Class #2
Try your hand at lace as we work through the Ashton Shawlette by Dee O’Keefe in this two part Intro to Lace Class. Knit in fingering weight or worsted, or even dive right in with lace-weight. We will explore a variety of increases and decreases, learn to read knitting charts with ease, and tackle blocking to get the most beauty out of your lace piece
Please bring to class: Laceweight (500-550 yds), Fingering (420-450 yds), or Worsted Weight (400 yds) yarn, as well as an appropriate sized circular needle for chosen yarn (you may want to bring a variety of needles to allow you to try to reach gauge), and stitch markers. You may also wish to bring scraps of yarn in the same weight to swatch with.
Prerequisites: Must be comfortable with knitting and purling.

In this class you will learn how to knit a pair of socks that fit you well without a pattern. You will measure your gauge from a homework swatch and then use some basic instructions and measurements to knit a top-down sock that fits comfortably. The goal of this class is to give you the confidence to knit a pair of socks with any yarn and needles without having to use a pattern.
Please bring to class: Your gauge swatch, a 100g ball of yarn in the weight you have chosen, and the needles used to create your gauge swatch, and a measuring tape. You can use sock weight yarn, or any other gauge you would like to create your socks in.
Prerequisites: Must be comfortable with knitting, purling, and decreases. Should be familiar with sock construction.
