The Collection consists of four closet staples by designer Laura Chau (a Canadian designer living in Toronto!) and featuring the impossibly soft Road to China Light from The Fibre Co. Each design utilizes lovely, simple lace patterns perfect for new or experienced lace knitters alike.
Laura is known for her wearable garments, functional accessories, and clear patterns, and these four designs featuring The Fibre Co. Road to China Light are no exception!
Mackenzie River is a generously sized cowl worked in the round from the bottom up. The Traveling Lace pattern is provided in both written and charted form.
An elegant cardigan featuring a flattering deep V-neck, long stockinette sleeves, and a lace body, Rainy Lake is worked flat in pieces from the bottom up and seamed, then the button band and collar is picked up and worked in one piece.
A unique 3 row lace pattern forms the openwork design of the gradient wrap Cathedral Grove. A small 4 row border forms a firm edge while allowing the all over pattern to stand out.
Hopewell Rocks is an easy tee worked in an intuitive all-over mesh pattern with tidy seed stitch borders and slipped stitch edgings. The front and back are worked flat from the hem upwards with cast-on short sleeves. Once complete, the pieces are seamed and stitches are picked up to work the neck.
